Description
The Losing Them training is designed to help you recover, find resilience, and heal from a painful break-up, job loss, or other situation where the reasons are unclear, fabricated, or destructive. Loss can be difficult to process without information. It can leave you feeling lost, hurt, and uncertain about your future. The goal of this training is to help you find the fortitude required to recover and heal, even amid grief and uncertainty.Losing a relationship can significantly impact one's ability to recover, find resilience, and heal. When a relationship ends, your sense of self, independence, and autonomy may be deeply intertwined with the lost relationship. This loss can lead to a lack of clarity in your self-definition and make the healing process more difficult. The training consists of four sections described as follows:Reasoning Needs: This section focuses on the reasoning needs that individuals have when experiencing a loss, such as ghosting, breakups, or job losses. It helps participants identify and understand their reasoning needs, which are essential for making sense of what has happened and for identifying tasks that can help individuals develop themselves beyond the pain of loss.Reasoning Needs1. Closure: You will not receive closure in every situation, but you can create it for yourself.2. Explanation: Some actions don't have explanations. Some things cannot be explained.3. Apology: Some people will not apologize because they can't.Character Traits: This section explores the various character traits that can help individuals cope with loss and facilitate personal growth and healing. It includes discussions on traits such as ownership, protecting emotional space without hurting others, building an individual vision without isolating from collaboration, managing change productively without overbearing control, and respecting the autonomy of others needing change.Character Traits1. Ownership: What people do is about them not you.2. Autonomy: You cannot change people no matter how much you think they need to change.3. Personhood: Some people hurt others as a pre-emptive means of protecting themselves.Growth Habits are the consistent practices and behaviors that individuals can incorporate into their daily lives to foster personal growth, build resilience, and adapt to change. The final section of the training focuses on the process of recovery, which involves personal growth, healing, and evolution. It provides guidance and support for participants as they navigate the challenges of loss and work towards building resilience, finding closure, and coping with grief.Growth Habits1. Resourcefulness: Use what you have to achieve what you want.2. Healing Space: Continue to look for your tribe rather than attempting to fit.3. Productive Change: Produce without aggression, without striving.4. Collaboration: Create individual vision without isolating oneself from opportunities for collaboration.Mental Flexibilities are the cognitive and emotional skills that individuals can develop to maintain a growth mindset, adapt to new situations, and manage emotions effectively. These flexibilities include:The Needs & Traits Then GrowthOver the course of this training, you will learn about the reasoning needs and character traits necessary to navigate loss, build an individual vision, and manage change in productive ways.
