Higher education degree: Candidates must have a higher education degree (associate's, bachelor's, or equivalent) and at least 1,500 hours of professional experience on a project team or 23 hours of project management education.
The professional experience must have been obtained within the last eight consecutive years and can be non-overlapping. In addition, the project experience can be accrued through leading or directing tasks, managing, or participating in projects, or by contributing to project management processes.
The project management education can be obtained through formal courses, online courses, or training programs. The 23 hours of project management education must cover topics related to project management, including project integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement management.
